  • 1948 Dilling Plumbing created by Richard Dilling Sr. in Logansport IN with 2 employees
  • 1972 Richard (Dick) Dilling Jr returns home from Overseas Duty and begins building the company
  • 1984 Electrical division is started and led by Fred Williams
  • 1984 Dilling Mechanical is Incorporated with 10 employees and Licensed in Indiana
  • 1985 Began working at Caterpillar Large Engine Facility in Lafayette IN
  • 1985 First “industrial” style job with Plymouth Tube – Mechanical and Electrical Services
  • 1987 Eric Ott (Current President) and Dick Eldridge (Senior Mechanical Director) began their career with Dilling Group.
  • 1990 Mark Parmeter (Senior VP of Operations) began his career with Dilling Group
  • 1990’s Helped design and build 1st Manufacturing Facility for Steel Dynamics Facility in Butler IN
  • June 1993 Began working at Zimmer and established office in Warsaw IN
  • 1996 joined Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Kentuckiana Northwest Council
  • 1998 Celebrate 50 Years
  • 1998 Began working at Biomet in Warsaw IN
  • 2000 Man Hours = 208,833
  • 2001 Built Steel Dynamics Columbia City IN
  • 2004 Began working at The Andersons Ethanol Plant in Clymers IN
  • 2006 Manhours = 361,327
  • 2007 Completed Nestle Aseptic Plant in Anderson IN (Nestle Quick)
  • November 2007 Designed and built as Engineer of Record new $200 million soybean crushing operation in Claypool IN
  • 2008 Opened an office in South Carolina to support work at BMW.
  • 2008 Manhours = 651,807
  • 2009 Changed name from Dilling Mechanical to Dilling Group Inc with new logo
  • 2010 Created Building Temperature Solutions, an HVAC industrial service company, and established an office in Fort Wayne IN
  • 2010 Opened office in Guthrie KY for Hemlock Semiconductor plant
  • 2011 Dedicated New Training Center in Logansport
  • 2011 Manhours = 719,091
  • 2014 Began working at Wacker Polysilicon in Charleston TN
  • 2016 Reached a high of 400 employees onsite at Wacker Polysilicon
  • Man Hours for 2016 = 888,076
  • 2017 Opened Southeast Regional Office in Charleston TN
  • 2017 Opened Regional office in Lake Charles LA
  • 2018 First Air Separation Unit built by DGI
  • January 2018 Acquired Generex LLC in Fort Wayne
  • July 2018 Purchased by Comfort Systems USA
  • July 2018 Dick Dilling retires, and Eric Ott becomes President of Dilling Group Inc.
  • Man Hours for 2018 = 1,087,019 (First time DGI achieved milestone of 1 million manhours in 1 year)
  • 2019 Increased focus on prefabrication for Pipe Spools and skids
  • 2019 Received Diamond Level STEP Award for Outstanding Safety Program from ABC IN/KY
  • January 2019 Acquired Comfort Systems Indiana
  • 2020 Covid-19 impacts everyone
  • 2020 Received Diamond Level STEP Award for Outstanding Safety Program from ABC IN/KY
  • 2021 Training Center Activities expanded to Indianapolis
  • Man Hours for 2021 = 1,122,742 and EMR Rate .58
  • 2021 Received Diamond Level STEP Award for Outstanding Safety Program from ABC IN/KY
  • 2022 Consolidated subsidiaries of Comfort Systems Indiana, Generex LLC and Building Temperature Solutions under Dilling Group Name.
  • 2022 New Branding effort with Logo and website presented
  • 2022 Arizona is the 24 th State for DGI Mechanical License
  • Indianapolis Office is leased consolidating HVAC Services with Industrial and Commercial Construction. New 60,000 sf Facility will allow for expanded training opportunities as well as more efficient fabrication space.
